Brook Harris is a 14 year old up and coming musician with a talent for musical interpretation and performance.  Vocal studies in speech language singing began at age nine, followed by piano and guitar studies.  The Abbotsford, B.C. vocalist and guitarist began writing her own songs in 2009, and recording early in 2010.  Currently, she is putting the finishing touches on her debut CD.  Brook tackles catchy songs with heart and soul, and focuses on music that has a powerful message. Brook’s music evokes strong emotions in her listeners, and her audience cannot help but be touched by her unique and impassioned sound.  Her sound is described as indie pop, with faint undertones of jazz and country intertwined.

Many of Brooks’ songs speak to the adversity she has faced and overcome in her life.  At the age of eight her mother passed away suddenly and her life was turned upside down. Brook’s endearing, likeable personality, combined with her unique vocal sound, make her a crowd favorite with the locals in her hometown. Brook holds a musical maturity that is uncommon for a young teen.  Her amazing, natural vocal ability is surprisingly fresh and honest. Brook stands by the motto of a musical mentor when she says, “We were created to be creative.” Brook is currently in grade 8 and resides in Abbotsford, B.C. with her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
